Transit Rucksack Rain Cover

I purchased a Ben Nevis 85 backpack for my son which accommodated all his possessions for two month travel in Thailand with room to spare. I also purchased a transit cover which made the rucksack secure by placing a padlock on the bag.

Does the job, made it through the airport without trouble

Simple, cheap and does the job. Good design too.

Worked really well. Small enough to carry in a pocket of the rucksack to the airport, then put the rucksack into it for going into hold. No straps hanging out to get caught in the luggage belts.

The bag was excellent for putting a rucksack in to protect the straps when travelling at the airport etc... the only slight design fault I would say is it could do with a studded or a Velcro strap to secure the 2 x handles together. bag to tear open (can't be used again).Still on my travels as we speak and have now tied the 2 x bag handles together at the airports using a plastic carrier bag and there have been no further problems. In hindsight I should have foreseen the potential issue of the bag tearing if being used only with one handle.... would purchase again now I know the issue and preventative measures!! The material is just not strong enough for use protecting bags for air travel. The handle straps don't go around the whole bag so if lifted with on handle it is very weak pulling on just the material.

My bag was 11kg and the bag material was ripped by baggage handlers and had to be wrapped in another plastic bag as in the pictures.

We bought 2 of these covers and already had one Backpack Locker cover. Both Highlander covers got ripped literally to shreds on the first of the 10 flights we took on our trip.
